Paid Search
The basic concept of PPC (Pay per Click, also referred to as ‘Paid Search‘) is very simple. Although the goal of search engine optimisation, or SEO, is to rank ‘naturally’ for any given keyword, PPC allows advertisers to bid against each other for a particular keyword or phrase.
Advertisers therefore compete for the highest ad placement in the sponsored results, those results that appear above and to the right of the organic results.
Paid search marketing, then, is the process of gaining traffic by purchasing ads on search engines. It is sometimes referred to as CPC (cost-per-click) or PPC (pay-per-click) marketing, because most search ads are sold on a CPC / PPC basis.
High sponsored and high organic ranking greatly increases the visibility of your web pages to the searcher; and, therefore, increases the credibility and potential relevance of your content to, in turn attracting traffic to your website.
Visibility = Credibility = Traffic = Customer
